What we collect

  • Browsing. The site has no accounts and sets no cookies of its own. Our hosting provider processes technical data (such as IP address and pages requested) in server logs to deliver and secure the site.
  • Search. Searches run in your browser against an index downloaded from the site. The search terms are added to the page address so a search can be shared, so they reach the hosting provider’s server logs if you reload or share that address. The “Search with Google” link sends your search to Google only if you follow it.
  • No sign-ups. We do not ask for your email address: there are no accounts, newsletters or mailing lists.
  • If you write to us. If you choose to email us, for example to report an error or ask for a takedown, we use your address and message only to deal with it and reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and correcting the site. We delete the correspondence 12 months after the matter is closed, except that a takedown request is kept while the item stays hidden, as the record of why it was removed.
  • Advertising. The site does not show ads at present. If it does in future, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated first, and ads will load only after you make a consent choice.

Your rights

You have rights under UK data protection law to access, correct and erase your data, to object to and restrict its use, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise them, email us.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell personal data. Our email and hosting providers process data on our behalf and may do so outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
